2 Ingredient dough?
Ever since starting WW I have loved trying and creating new recipes. I have to say, when I saw this WW recipe, I thought there is no way this can be good or ACTUALLY taste like pizza dough. Guys…..I WAS WRONG!!! I finally gave in and tried it, and I have to admit, the only thing I was upset about was that I didn’t try this sooner.
After deciding to try this dough just as it is, I also made the same dough and added spices (I added 1 Tbsp of Italian seasoning to the dough and mixed it in). Both ways made an amazing tasting, amazing consistency dough.
I WILL be making this again (soon and often)
I am definitely going to be using this to try different pizza recipes, pies, calzones….anything! The Italian seasoning added some extra flavor to the pizza that I loved. So while I do not think you have to, I will be adding some Italian seasoning to this dough when I make pizza. I will say if you eat the dough alone, in my opinion, it does have a slightly sour taste of the yogurt, but it didn’t bother me. I had my dad try it, who was a bigger skeptic than me, and he loved it and couldn’t even taste the yogurt which shocked me. Bonus- the extra protein you get from the yogurt too, which I love.
The Possibilities are Endless
If you like flavor, season the dough. Chili flakes, chili powder,
everything but the bagel seasoning, cinnamon sugar….the sky is the limit for the endless possibilities this dough can be used for.
I will share more recipes using this dough, but for now, I wanted to share this simple WW recipe for 2 ingredient dough.
Remember, the serving size, the amount you have, or what else you add to the dough will change the points or calories. So make sure you do what works best for you.
(also for one serving of this dough… it’s not that big, so keep that in mind when planning meals, making this recipe, and enjoying this dough.)
Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cup white self-rising flour 16 PTS on WW Blue
- 1 cup plain fat- free Greek yogurt 0 PTS on WW Blue
Instructions
- Place flour and yogurt in a bowl and stir with a wooden spoon until just combined and then keep kneading the dough with your hands until smooth.
- If the dough is too sticky, add some flour until no longer sticky. Make sure to add seasoning or spices when you are kneading.
- Let sit for 5 minutes.
- Divide dough into 8 equal pieces and then roll the dough out.
- Cooking time and temperature will vary on what you are making, but dough bakes well at 350* for about 10-15 min
Notes
This recipe is taken from the WW App. I did not create this recipe and I just wanted to share my thoughts and experience with making this recipe.
