Maybe she’s born with it…maybe it’s this red jumpsuit! I have to say this red jumpsuit is one of my favorite items of clothing I have ever bought. I think the reason is that I never thought I would EVER be able to wear not only a fitted one piece but that it would be bright red! Don’t get me wrong, this is totally me! Colorful, sassy, girly…everything I am… all in one item! But actually being able to wear it on my body…now that is a different story.
You see, I never thought someone like me could pull off something like this. Wearing something so fitted, and bright would draw so much attention to me. Only girls with slim bodies and big boobs can pull off jumpsuits like this right? WRONG!! So wrong!!!
That is old Jacqueline’s way of thinking. In the words of Taylor Swift…old Jacqueline is dead! So when I saw this jumpsuit and found those negative thoughts coming back into my head…the only thing I could do was grab it off the rack and try it on. No more thinking we have to be a certain body shape or type to wear something. No more thinking bright colors are only for people with “perfect bodies.” (PS, there is NO SUCH THING AS A PERFECT BODY) and no more thinking that we have to only wear black, and baggy clothes, and things that do not show off our figures and draw no attention to ourselves. That way of thinking is over and gone.
You know what new Jacqueline thinks and says to herself now? Try on that jumpsuit, try wearing bright colors and go ahead rock the body you have. You may be in the process of “changing your body” but that does not mean you cannot embrace the one you have now and own it!!!
When I first started my weight loss journey I used to think I would be so happy once I lost weight because all of my problems would go away. Also wrong. Remember, losing weight is not the end all be all of life. If the choice you are making, like myself, is to live a happier, healthier, stronger life then, that is great! Do not stop living life until you get there. Live life right now, no matter what your size, shape or weight. You deserve to be happy right now.
You deserve to rock that red jumpsuit right now. No more thinking that certain styles are only meant for “skinny” girls. We are all beautiful. Our clothing size or number on the scale does not define beauty. These numbers and sizes do not determine if we can wear something. Our size or shape does not determine if we can wear bright colors. Our confidence, how we feel and think about ourselves is what allows us to wear whatever styles or colors we choose. As long as you feel comfortable and confident…rock whatever it is that your heart desires.
So go ahead and rock that jumpsuit girl. I have to say, when I was wearing it I was not concerned about my body being swollen, or thinking about my legs looking big or not even having boobs to fill in the cups. The only feelings and thoughts that were filling my head were those of how confident and beautiful I felt. I may not be where I want to be on my own journey, but I am not going to stop living my life and rocking the red and waiting until I get there. I am going to enjoy my life, my body right now and do what I want and what makes me feel beautiful. Dress to please yourself, dress in what makes you feel beautiful.
I was once told that the best accessory you can ever wear is confidence. Be confident in who you are, know you are working on being the best you possible. Always remember that no matter what stage of your weight loss, fitness, or life journey you are at, always enjoy right now. Wear that red jumpsuit and strut that sass girl. You are beautiful, strong and confident!!
I love items that are versatile. Having staple items that can be dressed up or down to make them more dressy or casual means fewer items in your wardrobe. I wanted to share with you 2 different ways that I styled this jumpsuit and also give you some other ideas of how you can wear and style it. This red jumpsuit is another item that you can do so much with!!!
The first way I styled this was with a classic white blazer. I think the white with the red keeps it really fresh and keeps the whole thing classic, bright and cheery! You can also do a black blazer if white is not your thing and I think that would still look super chic. I also paired it with these amazing sparkly flats and it just took this outfit to the next level. Adding some fun, sparkly elements to this outfit with only 2 basic solid colors really added to this look. I cannot tell you how many compliments I received on this whole outfit when I wore it. The fact that these shoes are flats, really makes it easy for on the go, and so comfortable for whatever you have planned for the day!

I decided to keep this one a little more casual, while still keeping it fun and girly. I put this super cute white top under it, and the bow details on the sleeves really added extra detail to the entire look. You can also wear a more simple white button shirt and I think would look super cute. I decided to pair it with those same glittery shoes because let’s be real I cannot stop wearing them. That crisp white top under the bright red jumpsuit and the bow details is just so casual yet so put together. Again if white really isn’t your thing (although, I think you should definitely give white a try) you can also do a black shirt under too!

I think you can keep this look really casual and add a simple jean jacket and sneakers. If you aren’t looking for the extra details of a button shirt or something with bows and you don’t really want or need a jacket…you could always add a more simple t-shirt in white or black. This simple shirt underneath paired with a sneaker would give a much more casual but still sassy vibe from the jumpsuit.
If you are looking to keep the look more elegant you could totally wear the red jumpsuit with a classic heel. The simplicity of the jumpsuit and heel will give the jumpsuit the opportunity to shine. Without at jacket over or a shirt under each detail of the jumpsuit will be visible.
Remember, beauty comes in all different shapes and sizes. You do not need to be a certain body type to rock a red jumpsuit. All you need is confidence, a little bit of sass and 100% you. Rock your body, own what you’ve got, and always remember the best accessories you can ever wear are confidence and a smile!
This jumpsuit goes up to a size 18, but I also linked some other plus size red jumpsuits too!!!
