For Valentines Day it is sometimes just nice to stay home, wear comfy PJs, watch movies and snuggle up on the couch and not worry about crowds, reservations or what to wear. On Valentine’s Day Kevin and I like to go out and do a fun activity together, but we also love staying home. So I thought what better way to celebrate a nice Valentine’s Day at home than with some of our favorite foods…Pizza and ice cream sandwiches! So today I am going to be sharing with you one of our favorite go to meals for when we just want to stay home and relax but still do something fun together…cook! We love pizza and ice cream. But we both have our health and fitness goals in mind. So we love making these comfort foods at home, save on a lot of calories and still enjoy our favorite foods, especially on a holiday that is all about love! So sit back, relax and enjoy this super easy, healthier version of delicious pizza and ice cream sandwiches! I hope that you love these as much as we do. Sending lots of love from us to all of you! Pizza – There are so many different ways
With Valentine’s Day being only a week away I thought it would be the perfect time to share this delicious treat that I have been loving with you guys! I like mixing up this recipe and not just covering strawberries in my favorite dark chocolate but decided to go with a healthier alternative as well…greek yogurt. I like using nonfat vanilla greek yogurt and paring it with all fruit especially strawberries. I decided to make it more festive for Valentine’s day and added some pink dye. I added some pink sugar sprinkles and some cute heart sprinkles for an extra touch. You know I still had to get some chocolate in there with some chocolate chips. No matter what occasion you are making these delicious treats for I promise that they will be super tasty and super cute. INGREDIENTS Strawberries Nonfat Vanilla Greek Yogurt (or yogurt of your choosing) Pink food coloring or dye (optional) Toppings of your choice sprinkles or chocolate chips (I used Lily’s Dark Chocolate baking chips sweetened with Stevia) INSTRUCTIONS 1. Divide yogurt into two bowls. In one bowl add a few drops of pink dye until the desired shade is reached. 2. Dip your strawberries in the yogurt to cover them
I can’t believe it is almost Valentine’s Day! I absolutely love Valentine’s Day! I love having an excuse to spoil those I love and do something extra special for them! As much as I loving spending time with my loved ones on this special day, I also love getting a special little something for Kevin too! Who says you can’t treat yourself to something special too. I mean loving ourselves is the most important right!? So I feel that Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to purchase extra special treats for your significant other, or bestie to show them just how much you care! Also I love how everything right now is pink and glittery and has hearts! I mean it’s so perfect! As much as I believe that we should always take the time to show the special people in our lives just how much we care about them, I just feel that if we can take one day, just to shower others with love, than I am all in! I am 100% cheesy on Valentines Day!I picked my top 10 gifts that your BF, GF, bestie, or anyone you want to show some extra love to will just love! Everything is under
For the past several years Kevin and I love planning a fun activity to do together to celebrate Valentine’s Day! We love picking something that we normally would not do or have “time” to do and we just spend the day, or afternoon together enjoying each others company. One of my favorite things about losing all of my weight is being able to go out and have “real” dates and being able to go enjoy all of these fun activities that I was not able to participate in before. I love finding new and exciting adventures for us to go on and Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to actually make sure we do something extra special together! Last year we went down to Monterey here in Northern CA and spent the day walking around the cute little town, looking in all the shops and walking along the beach. We also went to the aquarium which is something we have been wanting to do for a long time. The little otters were my fav! It was a perfect day! Over the past few years I have come up with a bunch of fun outings that Kevin and I love doing, especially for Valentine’s
