Day 4 – Warm and Cozy Slow Cooker Recipe
Last week I was wanting something warm and comforting. It was really cold, wet and rainy outside and nothing sound better than snuggling up under a blanket with a Christmas movie on TV and a nice big warm bowl of chili. I came across this recipe from House of Yumm, which sounded great and was just what I was looking for. We had all of the ingredients so we decided to give it a try. I love how they use lean ground turkey to keep this a more healthy recipe.
This recipe made it easy for us to have a home cooked meal while I was just home from the hospital, recovering from surgery. Kevin was able to throw everything in the slow cooker, turn it on and 6 hours later dinner was ready.

This recipe was amazing and we will definitely be making it again! For us personally we would leave out the back beans. We also substituted Nonfat Plain Greek Yogurt and Reduced Fat Cheese. We loved it with or without these added toppings. This chili is a great healthy recipe that can be eaten right away or portioned out for meal prep. I am always looking for new easy healthy recipes and this one will defiantly be added to our list.
XOXO
