New Year and Another “NEW” Me Ready to Take on 2018!

I am so ready for a new year! 2018, bring it on.  This year has been a roller coaster and definitely did not go as planned.  I thought that by the end of this year I would be done with all of my skin removal surgeries.  I was ready to start planning my wedding and get back to a normal routine again and just finally start living my life.  I was so wrong.  My second skin removal surgery that I had November 2016 was rough.  It was a really big surgery and it took a lot of time for my body to heal and feel right again.  We also had to go back and remove more excess skin from my arms and back, which I knew was a possibility, but was not taking this into consideration when I was making “my plans”.  I had surgery number 3 and 4 over the summer and I am finally feeling almost 100% better from that.  But those 2 surgeries were the only ones we did.  Which means I still have at least 3 more to go.     I am so grateful for everything that 2017 has brought.  I joined a new gym and I am so happy I found another place where I feel at home and have a whole new support system.  I am filled with so much support, and love and it has been amazing.  Sometimes we get so focused on the finish line that we forget…

Black tulle and sequin sweatshirt

I bought this shirt a few weeks ago for a special event and I seriously cannot stop wearing it.  I love how comfortable it is, yet still super cute at the same time.  I think the tulle and jewels on it make this classic sweatshirt look super chic.  I may or may not be getting the pink one too since I love it so much.  I have paired this with skirts, jeans, leggings and black pants and I love them all.  You can definitely make this a more casual look but also really dress it up if you want to.  Tonight we are heading out to dinner to celebrate Christmas with some good friends so I kept it simple by just wearing it with jeans and dressed it up a bit with these cute hassle earrings and chunky heel black shoes.  I love pieces that are so versatile and love mixing it and matching it with so many different looks!     Shop my look Shirt Shirt (plus similar) Jeans Jeans (plus similar) Shoes (similar)

I love baking.  Kevin and I are actually bakers and so my love of baking runs deep.  I have always loved baking since I was a little girl, especially baking around the holidays.  After losing over 3oo pounds, I had to come up with something so that I could still enjoy the treats I bake, but with less guilt.  I do have treats every now and then, but I wanted to try out some “healthier” versions of my favorite holiday treats and I  think these recipes are perfect!  They have the same great flavors of regular treats, but with less guilt!  I hope you try these recipes out and enjoy them just as much as I do.  If you try them, let me down below which one was your favorite!  Happy Baking and Happy Holidays from my kitchen to yours! Holiday Look Book 2017

The holidays are my favorite time of the year!  It is also my favorite time of the year to get all dressed up, wear festive outfits, and of course who can forget the bright red lips.  Since losing over 3oo pounds, I feel like my love of fashion has gone to new heights and I love how I can finally wear most of the pieces I have only dreamed about wearing for years!  Being able to be myself and finally have my outside match how I felt inside is a feeling that I cannot even describe.  For so many years I have had to wear clothes that fit…not necessarily that I even liked or showed who I was.  And lets talk about how much I HATED my body and having my picture taken…my how things have changed!  To be honest, I still am a little self concisous of my loose skin and how my body looks and taking pictures of myself still feels a little…strange.  But I am doing my best to work past that and just embrace this new me that I have worked so hard to become. Looking at pictures of myself now I sometimes have to do a double take because I do not recognize the girl that I see!     I think the holidays are the best time for me to show my true personality and let my love of Christmas just shine through.  I have a serious love for Christmas, so creating outfits for the holiday season is right up my alley!  Creating these holiday looks and showing how I like to pair different items for the holidays was so much fun for me to do.  I not only showed you what I love wearing, but like always included plus size items that are very similar.  I remember when I was…
