Jacqueline’s Health and Fitness Gift Guide 2017

After losing over 350 pounds I have come up with items that have really helped me over the years and items that I think are perfect for anyone trying to lose weight, become healthier, or someone who is already into health and fitness or anyone who has been talking about becoming healthier this new year!  I am listing items I love, and that Kevin loves as well!  I also think giving the gift of gift cards to health and fitness stores, grocery stores, the gym, classes to try, etc would be very helpful to someone too!  When you are able to join someone on their journey it makes all the difference in the world so I think giving that gift and showing that you are there to help support someone who is maybe deciding to embark on a weight loss journey is a huge gift that will mean so much!  Below are some of my favorite items and I hope you can get some great ideas for others or even for yourself if you need gift ideas!!  Kitchen Gadgets/Items  Cookbooks  Fitness/Recovery Gear              Plus Workout Gear Women’s Workout Gear Men’s Workout Gear

Classic black skirt- worn 2 ways

I think a black skirt is a staple piece in anyones wardrobe…just like a little black dress. I used to wear black skirts all of the time when I was over weight.  I felt like they flattered me the best and were so much easier to find sizes that fit in skirts over pants.  Also since shirts were limited as well, I felt that a black skirt could go with any top, and also could be dressed up, or worn more casual.  Well even after I have lost over 350 pounds, I still find myself gravitating to skirts…and after finding this old black skirt in my closet I knew it was time for an upgrade!       I think this black skirt is so classic and simple, yet the cutouts at the bottom of this skirt gives it a little personality and a little something extra. I think it is classic, yet fun and I love it.  I love how you can take one item, and wear it so many ways.   Here I am using this same skirt for more of a daytime look.  I paired the skirt with a graphic tee, blazer and super cute sneakers. I love pairing skirts with sneakers.  I think it is adorable, and comfortable! I think the blazer just adds to the whole look and pulls everything together!  Perfect day time look.   Then if you are heading out later and want to dress it up more, all you have to do is switch up your…

Holiday Pajamas; The Great Indoors and Plaid Shorts

I love this picture!! And if this doesn’t scream holiday cheer then I don’t know what does!  But if we are  being honest I almost didn’t want to post this. So when I got these pajamas my first thought was  automatically like “there is no way I was going to post a picture in these shorts” no matter how much I loved them! I told myself they would be fine to sleep in, but knew deep down how “bad” they would look on me. I had it programmed into my brain that I can’t wear shorts. When I got home they fit perfectly but that feeling of thinking how “bad” they must look kicked in right away. Kevin thought they looked cute. Of course I did not believe him. So I decided to have him take my picture in them to prove to myself how “bad” they really did look. But instead, after I saw the picture, it captured something completely different. I did not see how bad my legs looked. When I first looked at this picture the first thing I saw was pure holiday joy! I saw myself happy and that made me smile. It was then followed by my second reaction which was OMG my legs…but you know what? That’s ok. It’s ok to feel insecure. We are human. So why would I let a little insecurity like the skin on my legs stop me from sharing a picture that just shows…joy! I know what posting this…

Super Cute and Comfy Date Night Outfit; Green Lace Cami and Leopard Shoes

Happy Saturday! This week was a busy week for us so usually that means the week flies by…. but instead it just seemed to drag on and on! We had a ton of holiday baking orders, got our workouts in, and yesterday was my moms birthday! So busy busy busy! It’s the most wonderful time of the year right 😜 but also the busiest!  Also if you didn’t know I recently started a YouTube channel so I have been doing vlogmas over there…not a vlog everyday but trying to get as many up as possible! I shared a holiday party, grocery haul, workout and a halo top ice cream review of the new flavors! Make sure to check them out if you haven’t already 💗 www.youtube.com/jacquelinesjourney So back to this week….When we were at the gym this week I decided to try to a few things again for the first time since my most recent surgery. Sometimes when we try new things it can go great and other times… not so great! That’s exactly what happened to me.  I tried jumping again and I was so nervous and scared. But I dug down deep and told myself it is ok to be scared, but never let your fear of failure or being scared that you will make a mistake keep you from trying. So I decided to go for it..what’s that song…knees weak and palms sweaty? Well that was me. Do you know what? I did…
